Gothic Gala Lacquers Science is Beautiful Collection

If you’re looking for some awesome micro holographic glitters to add to your collection, look no further! I’ve got swatches of Gothic Gala Lacquer‘s Science is Beautiful collection to share tonight. This collection consists of five colorful holographic micro glitters, all of which are 5-free.

All swatches were taken indoors under a combination of Cree daylight and LED bulbs using a Samsung NX300 camera.

“Theory of Everything”

Theory of Everything is a lovely baby blue micro glitter with added silver and holographic glitters. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. I had pretty good coverage in two coats but added a third to completely reach opacity. This polish has a great glitter to base ratio while still having an easy formula to work with.

I am obsessing over this shade of blue!

“Blinded Me with Science”

Blinded Me with Science is a silver holographic micro glitter with added blue, purple, and red micro glitter giving it a slight lavender hue. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. I had no issues with formula – It leveled pretty well and swatching was a breeze as it has a fast dry time. The assortment of colored glitter makes this polish one that is unique to my collection.

I’m loving the pops of colored micro glitter throughout this polish!

“Weird Science”

Weird Science is a true gold micro glitter with added light pink and holographic micro glitters. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. Formula wise, it is a little thicker than the previous two but nothing to worry about. This is another polish in which the added micro glitters give it a little something extra to make it unique.

Such a perfect balance of gold, pink, and holo!

“Science is Real”

Science is Real is a red micro glitter with purple and blue holo glitters. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. Of the five polishes in this collection, this has the thickest formula. I had some difficulty with the coats drying before I could cover my nail, however the coverage is great so I was able to get away with just two coats. This is another polish that is definitely unique to my collection!

That blue holo glitter is to die for!

“Sounds of Science”

Last up is Sounds of Science – a teal holo micro glitter with green and aqua glitters. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. Like Weird Science, this polish is a little on the thicker side but again, easily workable. I love the colors of the glitters in this polish – very mermaid-esque!

Overall Thoughts

Overall, I like this collection. Although a few of the polishes are a little thicker than I’d like, there is no complaining about the amount of coverage with each coat and the glitter to base ratio. I love the variety of the colors in the collection and all but Sounds of Science are unique to my collection. My favorites would be Blinded Me with Science and Theory of Everything.

This collection is currently available for purchase here. These polishes are sold in two sizes – 10mL and 7mL – and as a set or individually.
