Hello everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR! I can’t believe 2014 is already over – I guess it is true what they say: “Time flies when you’re having fun!” 2014 was such an amazing year and I have a feeling that 2015 will be even better! 🙂

Today  I have for you swatches and my review of a new brand (to me at least): Sugarloom Cosmetics. Sugarloom Cosmetics is a five-free, cruelty-free, and vegan company manufacturing nail polish and treatments in the US. I was sent three polishes to swatch: one from their new holiday collection and the other two from their previous collections.

“Tart”

Tart is a bright neon yellow jelly polish. Pictured is 3 coats, no top coat on my index and middle and 1 coat over white, no top coat on my ring and pinky. On it’s own, I’m not really feeling it (although I’m sure it would be great to use as a jelly sandwich base with a glitter polish) but over white, I love it! Each coat applied very well.

“Bite Me”

Bite me is a shimmery deep red polish from their 2014 holiday collection – 2 coats, no top coat. This color is great for the holidays and the winter season. Really nice formula!

“Mint”

Mint is… well… a mint colored cream polish 😉 3 coats, no top coat. This polish was a little streaky for me (probably didn’t wait long enough between coats) but all was forgiven upon applying the third coat. I adore this color!

Overall Thoughts

What I love most about the polishes that I swatched was the fact that I didn’t have to use a top coat! All three polishes dried to a nice finish with no flaws. Are these polishes must haves? Not necessarily – but they do have quite a few polishes on their website that look like they could be o. One downside is that there are no swatch photos so it’s a shot in the dark until you try the polish for yourself unless you so happen to stumble upon one on Instagram or other social media.
