Hello Everyone! Today I have for you swatches of Colors by Llarowe‘s Colorado on My Mind Collection. This collection consists of seven spring jellies and crellies and is available NOW!
All swatches have been taken under indoor lighting.
“Mile High Manicure”
Mile High Manicure is a medium grayed royal blue crelly. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. This polish was pretty much opaque in two coats but I had some small patches near my nail bed that I wanted to cover up with a third coat. This polish is the most crelly in the collection – I’d say it’s almost a creme!
“Pikes Peak”
Pikes Pink is a bright (almost neon!) orchid jelly. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. This polish has an incredibly fast dry time! I really like this shade on me and I also really like that it’s pretty opaque in three coats.
“Wildflower Fields”
Wildflower Fields is another bright, almost neon, blurple jelly. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. This is one of those shades that is almost impossible to photograph correctly. It’s actually way more purple in real life, although there was some lighting that I found showed the color in my swatch. No matter the shade, this polish also has a fast dry time and a great formula.
“Garden of the Gods”
Garden of the Gods is a rosy pink purple jelly. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. This polish looks more purple in the bottle than it does on the nail but I don’t mind because I prefer it being a little more on the pink side. Wonderful consistency for a jelly! This polish would be great to use in a pond style manicure.
“Rocky Mountain High”
Rocky Mountain High is a medium turquoise teal jelly. Shown here is three coats with top coat. Absolutely love this shade! It’s pretty sheer so I wouldn’t wear it alone but I can definitely see myself using it either over a white base or to create a jelly sandwich of some sort.
“Broncos Baby!”
Broncos Baby! is a deep navy jelly. Shown here is three coats no top coat. This polish has a super glossy finish! That’s why I didn’t use a top coat in my swatch (although you can’t really see the gloss in my photo 😦 ). The difference between the second and third coat was so minimal that I think this polish would be perfectly fine in just two coats. I expected this to stain but it didn’t AND it has a fantastic formula!
“Where the Columbines Grow”
Where the Columbines Grow is a deep wine red jelly. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. I thought this would be my least favorite of the bunch but it’s actually my favorite! I think it goes very well with my skin tone and I love the purple sheen that shows at the tips.
Overall Thoughts
I’ve never really been a jelly polish fan so I was a bit worried before swatching this collection. After the first coat, all my worries went away! All of these polishes have amazing formulas with fast dry times and great self leveling. Although I did three coats with each swatch, I had no issues at all during the application. As with the other Colors by Llarowe polishes I’ve swatched, these polishes are fantastic and I had no issues with any of them! My favorites would be Broncos Baby! and Where the Columbines Grow – which is very surprising because I’m such a fan of bright, vivid colors and these are the two darkest in the collection!
These polishes are being sold at $6 each and are available now here. Don’t forget to check out Colors by Llarowe on Instagram to stay up to date on future collections!
I feel Ya, I’ve never really been into jellies either but recently they’ve been growing on me. These are really pretty!

Right! I didn’t understand why people would want polishes that weren’t opaque but now I see why! haha
