ILNP Fall 2015 Collection – Part 1

I’m going to be pretty honest with you all right now – this is the most excited I have ever been about a blog post! Today I’m going to start a three part series of my review of ILNP‘s Fall 2015 Collection! ILNP (I Love Nail Polish) is hands down my favorite brand so this is a dream come true to be able to review this collection! This collection consists of 17 polishes, all of which are available now.

Instead of bombarding you with a million pictures at once, I figured breaking it into three parts would be the easiest to digest.

In this post, I will be reviewing the two ultra chromes, two ultra chrome flakies, and one holographic creme.

Eeeek! I can’t contain my excitement any longer! Let’s get started!

All swatches were taken indoors under a combination of Cree Daylight and LED bulbs using a Samsung NX300 camera.

“Spiced Eggnog”

Spiced Eggnog is an eggnog holographic creme with gold and burnt orange flakes that give it a speckled look. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. This was the one polish that I swatched before changing my nail shape back to almond so I apologize for the slight inconsistency in my pictures. Of all the polishes in this collection, this one definitely sticks out the most. It’s a unique shade that quite frankly could be a hit or miss. For me, it’s a total hit! The formula is spectacular and I love the finish! When I think of Spiced Eggnog, this is exactly what I think of – minus the holo 😛

The combination of gold, burnt orange, and holographic shards is absolutely stunning!

“Greatness”

Greatness is one of the two new ultra chromes – shifting between wine red, orange, copper, and gold. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. ILNP is known for their ultra chromes and Greatness does not disappoint. I mean, come on, it’s called Greatness so of course it’s going to be great! The formula is very easy to control and I love that you only need two coats to achieve opacity. The shift is gorgeous and perfect for fall.

It’s like Fall fell straight from the sky and onto my nail!

“Cameo (H)”

Cameo (H) is a holographic ultra chrome that shifts through pink, purple, copper, gold, and green. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. Sure, the formula is great. So is the coverage and the holo. But what’s really amazing is the shift. HOLY FREAKING COW. I saw every color that the description lists and was able to capture them all! Prepare yourself for lots of pictures…

Pink, purple, copper, gold, and green – I can’t believe that I’m seeing this all on ONE NAIL!

You know I can’t leave the holo out of the mix!

Do you see the magic that is happening on my pinky nail!?

Oh Cameo (H), you’re slowly killing me with these magnificent shifts…

❤ ❤ ❤

“Glory”

Glory is an ultra chrome flakie that shifts through red, orange, copper, gold, and chartreuse along with hints of other colors. Shown here is two coats over Greatness plus top coat. This polish is described as “Fall in a bottle” and I can’t argue with that. The color palette is gorgeous! This polish is very easy to apply. I had no issues with flakie placement or distribution. Not to mention, Glory and Greatness are a match made in polish heaven! ❤ I was very much obsessing over this look and wore it for a couple of days. 🙂

This really is Fall in a bottle!

Aahhh, so glorious!

So great!

The perfect Fall combination ❤

“The Road to Awe”

Last up is The Road to Awe – an ultra chrome flakie that shifts through purple, pink, wine, copper, and gold. Shown here is two coats over Iconic (from ILNP’s Fall 2014 collection) plus top coat. This polish also has a great formula and is packed with flakies. I coat would have easily sufficed but the flakie obsessed side of me wanted more! Like Cameo (H), the shift is remarkable. I love, love, LOVE the wide range of colors that this polish shifts through.

I’m definitely on the road to awe and I don’t want to get off!

I can’t get enough of these color shifts!

Where have you been all my life!?

*sigh* I’m in complete and utter awe. Seriously. ❤

Overall Thoughts

What a way to start a three part series, amiright!? Formulas are amazing, application is perfect, color palette is stunning, color shifts are wonderful – but what else would you expect to see from ILNP?

I’ll be giving a more detailed “overall thoughts” and my picks in the third part of this series.
