Happy Hump Day Everyone! Today I’ve got swatches of Takko Lacquer‘s new Fall Collection!
This 5-free, vegan, and cruelty-free collection consists of seven polishes which releases tomorrow, October 8th at 8pm EDT!
All swatches were taken indoors under Cree daylight bulbs using a Samsung NX300 camera.
First up is Paper Cuts – a deep, rich oxblood red crelly which is a Takkito First! Shown here is two coats plus top coat. While this may be a Takkito First, you’d think this is what Takko Lacquer was all about! The formula is utter PERFECTION. So creamy, so easy to control, so smooth! I’m generally not a fan of red polishes but this is one that I can actually see myself wearing!
Coquettish is a mauve pink with teal shimmer. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. Usually shades like this take a few coats to reach opacity but not this polish! The formula is great and is very easy to control. The added teal shimmer goes great with this shade of pink.
Look at that gorgeous shimmer!
“Rise & Grind”
Rise & Grind is a mustard yellow creme with actual silver dust. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. In some lighting, the mustard yellow reflects off the silver dust making it appear golden. This shade of yellow is one that falls in the ugly-pretty category – a category that I absolutely adore! This shade is so unique and I love the silver dust! Formula is super easy to control which made swatching and clean up a breeze.
Here you can see how the silver dust can change from silver to gold depending on the lighting.
Pony is a gorgeous rich fuchsia with iridescent blue to pink shimmer. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. This polish makes me feel so girly and cute! The iridescent shimmer practically glows against the fuchsia base. Again, the formula is absolutely wonderful.
I am dying over the shimmer! ❤
Matcha Latte is a milky light jade with iridescent pink shimmer. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. I had a slight visible nail line after the second coat so I added a third to cover it up. I feel like I dipped my nails in a Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccino and sprinkled some magical pink fairy dust on top! I’m definitely digging how unique this shade is.
Yup, magical Green Tea Frap!
Rhinestone Eyes is a greyed out lilac filled with actual silver dust. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. My pictures show the lilac tone of this polish but I did notice that in some lighting, it had a bit of a nude tone to it. This is a super classy and chic polish that has an amazing formula to accompany it. I’ve really taken a liking to neutral shades with a little bit of something extra added and this polish is no exception. One of my favorites for sure!
With all these silver flakes and that wonderful neutral lilac base, how could you not fall in love??
Last up is Filthy Rich – a black jelly filled with large golden flakes. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. This polish right here is a stunner! That deep black base with those large gold flakes – ugh, I’m dying! You don’t have to worry about fishing for the flakes because this polish is packed full of them. They also stay put as you apply the polish which is really nice. This formula is the thinnest in the collection but it is still really easy to work with. Another favorite! ❤
This polish is guaranteed to make you feel filthy rich!
And here’s a mattified pic!
Gah, perfection! ❤
What I love about Takko Lacquer is that they aren’t afraid of going outside of the box! The color palette is certainly not in the range of your typical fall colors but that’s what I love about this collection. I think it’s the perfect transitional collection for those who still want fun bright colors but also want to dip their toes (or should I say nails 😛 ) in some neutral and dark colors. Not to mention, the formula of every single polish is amazing! I must say that this is one of my favorite fall collections that I have reviewed so far.
My picks are Filthy Rich, Rhinestone Eyes, and Rise & Grind – can you tell that I’m a sucker for gold and silver flakes? lol
This collection is releasing tomorrow, October 8th at 8pm EDT and can be purchased here. Individual polishes will be sold for $13 and the full collection for $90. I do want to note that for the launch you will not be able to purchase multiples of the same color. Also, a portion of every purchase is donated to charity!
A little heads up, Takko Lacquer launches and restocks tend to be a bit crazy so set your alarms and be quick to snag what you want!
What do you think about Takko Lacquer’s newest collection? Will you be picking any up during tomorrow’s launch?
These polishes were provided for my honest review.
