I know that most of us (or maybe just me lol) are just getting into the groove of fall but you can’t deny that the Halloween season will soon be upon us! Candy, costumes, haunted houses… and of course Halloween nail polishes! 😀
In this post, I’ll be sharing swatches of CDB Lacquer‘s Halloween 2015 collection which is available now. This collection consists of four super cute and super halloweeny crelly polishes.
All swatches were taken indoors under Cree daylight bulbs using a Samsung NX300 camera.
“Sweets and Treats”
Sweets and Treats is a white crelly filled with black, orange, green, yellow, and purple glitters of various shapes and sizes plus added pink and black matte star glitters. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. There are so many glitters packed into this polish and I didn’t have to fish for any of them. Not even the stars! It’s got a great formula making it really easy to apply. The white base with bright glitters make this a very cute and fun polish.
It’s like I covered my nails with frosting and sprinkles! 😉
“Spook-tacular”
Spook-tacular is a bright orange crelly with black, white, and purple glitters of various shapes, sizes, and finishes (matte, metallic, and a little holo!). Shown here is two coats plus top coat. This polish has an amazing formula! The glitters do not affect application what-so-ever. So smooth and so creamy! Another really fun Halloween polish!
Check out those metallic and holo micro glitters!
“The Witching Hour”
The Witching Hour is a deep eggplant jelly with pink, lime green, and holo glitters of various shapes and sizes. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. I love this polish! The first coat was a bit sheer so I figured I would need at least three coats to build opacity. Boy, was I wrong! The second coat had so much coverage that it blew me away! The eggplant base with bright and holo glitters is a killer combination!

“Bump in the Night”
Last up is Bump in the Night – a black jelly with white, yellow, green, orange, and purple metallic hex glitters. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. I was able to achieve full opacity in two coats but I wanted to add a third to deepen the black jelly base. Even with the three coats, this polish dried really quickly and leveled very well. I love the metallic glitters against the black jelly base. They almost look like floating orbs in the night sky!
If this glitter mix doesn’t scream Halloween, then I don’t know what does!
Overall Thoughts
This collection is perfect for Halloween! Each polish is unique enough to stand out on it’s own while still being cohesive when looked at as a collection. The bases and glitter mixes are very thought out and work wonderfully together. Formulas are great! Easy applications, fast dry times, and awesome leveling. Not to mention each polish is packed full of glitters! I didn’t have to fish for any, woo!
My favorite is The Witching Hour – I think it is absolutely gorgeous!
This four polish collection is available for purchase now here. Individual polishes (13mL) are $8.50 each with the full collection being priced at $32.00.
