It’s time to reveal the contents of the next The Holo Hookup subscription box! 😀 This indie collaboration includes Cupcake Polish, Different Dimension, and Glisten & Glow as constant contributors with a new guest maker and theme each month. The theme for December 2015 is ‘Natural Phenomenon’ and the guest maker is Pahlish!

The photos below inspired each of the makers included in this month’s box.

Let’s not waste anymore time – onto the swatches!

All swatches were taken indoors under a combination of Cree daylight and LED bulbs using a Samsung NX300 camera.

Cupcake Polish – “Volcanic Lightning”

Volcanic Lightning is a vibrant ruby red linear holographic with blue to violet iridescent flakes and added golden ruby shimmer. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. Formula is absolutely outstanding – so easy to apply and control with great coverage, leveling, and dry time! The combination of holo, flakes, and shimmer gives this polish a speckled look that I think is remarkable!

Different Dimension – “Bioluminescent Bay”

Bioluminescent Bay is a sky blue linear holographic with holographic micro glitter, silver flakes, and blue to violet iridescent flakes. This polish also glows in the dark!! Shown here is two coats plus top coat. Since this polish is packed with glitter, you may need to add a second coat of top coat to smooth it all out. Formula is very easy to work with and covers great. This polish has a different look depending on the lighting and element that is shining through. No matter how I looked at it, one thing remained true – Bioluminescent Bay is a true beauty! ❤

Glisten & Glow – “Ball Lightning”

Ball Lightning is a rich deep grape linear holographic with blue undertones and added pink to violet iridescent flakes. Shown here is ONE coat plus top coat. Amazing coverage with a formula that’s just as amazing! In true Glisten & Glow fashion, this polish is insanely holographic! The iridescent flakes makes this polish spark as if it were infused with actual lightning! 😀

SOOOO MUUUUCH HOLOOOO!

Pahlish – “Chasing Northern Lights”

Last up is Chasing Northern Lights – a taupe linear holographic with gold shimmer and a subtle orange to green shift. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. It was opaque in two coats but I added a third to deepen the taupe base and enrich the shimmer. This. Polish. Is. PHENOMENAL! There is just something about the subtle shift and gold shimmer that elevates this polish into something extraordinary. To say I am obsessed is an understatement.

I’d chase this polish forever!
