Girly Bits Holiday Magic Collection

Tonight I have for you swatches of Girly Bits‘ newest collection – Holiday Magic – which releases on Sunday, November 22nd at 12pm (noon) EST!

For this collection, Girly Bits collaborated with Megan Edwards to bring us a wonderful 9-piece holiday collection. Megan is a spokesperson for Girly Bits as well as a model and is immersed in the fashion and entertainment scene in Vancouver, Canada. She is currently with Virgin Radio, as well as a panelist on CTV news: Fame Factor.

All swatches were taken indoors under a combination of Cree Daylight and LED bulbs using a Samsung NX300 camera.

“No Peeking ‘Til 7AM”

No Peeking ‘Til 7AM is a vampy, burgundy wine crelly. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. Formula is really nice! I had no issues and was able to reach full opacity in two coats. I love the rich and deep burgundy wine tone of this polish. It’s perfect for this time of year!

“Blue Christmas”

Blue Christmas is a deep dark navy creme. Shown here is ONE coat plus top coat. I think this just might be the best navy creme I’ve ever used! Amazing formula with amazing coverage. Everything about this polish is absolutely perfect! ❤ Oh, and this polish also doubles as a stamping polish!

“Blazing Yule Before Us”

Blazing Yule Before Us is a vintage gold metallic polish with added gold flakes. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. The formula is really smooth and easy to apply. It’s also really easy to control and levels very well. I love the finish of this polish – it’s so unique!

Such a great holiday color!

“Love Your Elf”

Love Your Elf is a soft muted pink creme with silver and violet shimmer. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. Great coverage for such a light shade! The only trouble I had with this polish were shimmers sticking to my skin after clean up. I didn’t have too many to remove however, since this polish is really easy to control. Other than that, it’s a wonderful dainty and delicate shade for the upcoming winter season!

The silver shimmers look like tiny snowflakes across my nail! 🙂

“Sandy Claws”

Sandy Claws is a gorgeous light nude holographic with added pink and purple iridescent shimmer. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. I love nude holos and this one is no exception! Formula is exceptional as is the holo and added shimmer! I wore this one for a couple of days and got great wear out of it.

So magnificent! ❤

“Little Red Toque”

Little Red Toque is a Christmas red jelly with gold holographic micro glitter. Shown here is ONE coat plus top coat. I’m so surprised with the coverage of this polish! Since when does a jelly based polish cover completely in one coat?! Well… I guess since now! For some reason, my photos make this polish look more creme but I promise that it’s got that squishy jelly base that we all love. Oh, and it’s definitely more sparkly in person. 🙂 This polish is so fun and Christmas-y! I can’t wait to use it to create some festive nail art looks!

Just look at that sparkle!

“Jiminy Christmas”

Jiminy Christmas is an evergreen holo micro glitter in an evergreen jelly base. Shown here is ONE coat plus top coat. Another one coater – I’m dying over here! This polish makes me really, really happy. 😀 I absolutely adore the holo micro glitters and the evergreen jelly base is the perfect Christmas green!

Jiminy Christmas, this is amazing!!

“Coal Dancer”

Coal Dancer is a sheer black jelly base with black, silver, purple, and sapphire blue holo hex glitters of various sizes. Shown here is three coats plus top coat (two coats). This polish can be worn as a glitter topper over a base color or alone as shown in my swatch. It’s packed full of glitters so you’ll want to apply it in thin coats to prevent the polish from bunching and leveling thick. I love the sapphire and purple pops of color throughout! A super fun and out-of-the-box holiday polish 🙂

This glitter mix is everything! ❤

“Don’t Tangle Your Tinsel”

Last up is Don’t Tangle Your Tinsel – a various size and shape silver holographic glitter. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. The varying size and shape glitters make this polish differ from most of the other silver holo glitter polishes that I have while still allowing for complete and cohesive coverage. The glitter to base ratio is amazing! Plus, the glitters stay put during application so there’s no need for any additional dabbing to cover bald spots! This is a staple polish to have for not only just the holidays but for anytime you want to bling up your mani!

This polish makes my heart happy! ❤ 🙂

Overall Thoughts

This collection makes me wish Christmas was already here! I really love the color palette of this collection. It’s got a few classic holiday colors with some not so classic, yet still great for the upcoming season. The mix of finishes within this collection is fantastic as are the formulas of each polish. Overall, I’m really pleased and I can’t wait to conjure up some nail art looks with these polishes! 🙂

My picks are Blue Christmas (such an amazing navy creme!!), Sandy Claws, Jiminy Christmas, and Don’t Tangle Your Tinsel.
