The next The Holo Hookup box is here! This indie collaboration includes Cupcake Polish, Different Dimension, and Glisten & Glow as constant contributors with a new guest maker and theme each month. The theme for June 2016 is ‘Decades of Comedies’ and features guest maker F.U.N. Lacquer! For this month’s box, each maker chose a comedy from a specific decade to create a polish for. Take a look at their inspiration pics below!

Now that we’ve seen the chosen comedies, let’s take a look at their creations!

All swatches were taken indoors under a combination of Cree daylight and LED bulbs using a Samsung NX300 camera.

Cupcake Polish – “Shake N Bake”

Shake N Bake is a royal blue linear holo with shiny silver flakies. Shown here is two coats plus top coat.  Formula is absolutely fantastic! It was opaque in one coat but I added a second to deepen the royal blue base. I am so in love with this polish! The royal blue holo base plus silver flakies mixed in is perfection ❤

Different Dimension – As If!

As If! is a light lavendar leaning pink linear holo with added blue-violet shimmers and micro glitters. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. This polish has an amazing formula with amazing coverage. The shimmers are absolutely stunning and make this polish shine!

F.U.N. Lacquer – Superhero Landing!

Superhero Landing! is a black linear holo with red/copper shimmers and red holo glitters. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. This polish gives me life and I swear I would wear it every day! The holo, the shimmers, the micro glitters – you NEED this polish!

Glisten & Glow – Bueller… Bueller… Bueller…

Bueller… Bueller… Bueller… is a gilded golden light brown linear holo loaded with gold shimmers and flakies. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. This polish had a slight visible nail line after the second coat so I added a third to cover it up. As far as the formula goes, it’s super easy to apply and control with perfect leveling and dry time!

Overall Thoughts

This month’s box is filled with unique shades that you simply cannot miss out on!

This box will only be available during the week pre-order starting Saturday, May 21st at 9pm EST ending Saturday, May 27th at 9pm EST. To accommodate this month’s international guest, boxes will begin shipping June 15th (instead of June 12th).

This box will retail for $40.00 total plus shipping and will be available here. Shipping will be available both domestically and internationally.
