Sensationail Geometric Nail Art

Wow! It’s been AGES since my last blog post. For those of you who don’t know, I moved from LA to Easton, PA for a new job in May. It’s been pretty crazy at my new job that I have not had much time for nails… but that’s all about to change!

While I don’t have as much free time as I used to, I still want my nails to look fabulous which is why I’ve started getting into the gel polish scene and let me tell you – I LOVE IT. A few weeks ago I was contacted by Sensational to try out their products and I instantly jumped at the chance.

Instead of swatching the polishes, I decided to do some nail art with the colors I received. In this post, I’ll be showing off the first look I did and give my initial thoughts on their products.

I decided that for my first look I would go with a simple geometric mani using Sensational So Chic, Mostly Mint, and Something Blue along with What’s Up Nails wide chevron and single chevron vinyls. I couldn’t be happier with how this turned out especially since this was basically my first time using vinyls with gel polish!

I have to say that I am extremely impressed with the quality of Sensational’s gel colors. They were all so, so easy to use. Each polish was opaque in two easy coats and that’s with layering them over each other!

I also received Sensational’s Gel Matte Top Coat and thought I’d check it how it looked with this mani.

Can you say GORGEOUS?! The matte finish is to die for and only required one coat over gel top coat! ❤

Word of caution: make sure you use a good gel base and top coat or else it might start to peel off in a couple of days. I first tried Orly FX gel and base coat and was not having much luck but switched over to Gelish brand and I had no issues.

Other than that, I have nothing negative to say about this brand! I’ll be creating two more looks using Sensational gel colors that I will share over the next couple of weeks. I’ll also be uploading video tutorials to my Instagram page so make sure to check it out!

This post was sponsored by Sensational, however, all opinions are my own.
