It’s a new month which means a new The Holo Hookup box! This indie collaboration includes Cupcake Polish, Different Dimension, and Glisten & Glow as constant contributors with a new guest maker and theme each month. The theme for September 2016 is ‘Art Inspired’ and features guest maker Vapid Lacquer! Let’s take a quick look at their art inspirations below!

Now on to the main show – the polishes!

All swatches were taken indoors under a combination of Cree daylight and LED bulbs using a Samsung NX300 camera.

Cupcake Polish – “Bad Hare Day”

Bad Hare Day is an ivory linear holo with copper speckles throughout. Shown here is three thin coats plus top coat.

Different Dimension – “Monroe”

Monroe is a lightened tiffany blue linear holo with added shimmers and neon pink micro glitters. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. This polish does dry with a textured finish so you’ll need to use a coat or two of good top coat to smooth everything out.

Glisten & Glow – “The Abstract Expressionist”

The Abstract Expressionist is a berry linear holographic with gold and purple shimmers. Shown here is three coats no top coat. So in love with this polish!

Vapid Lacquer – “Dali’s Elephants”

Dali’s Elephants is a classic, very warm red-orange linear holo. Shown here is two coats no top coat.

Overall Thoughts

Hands down the most unique Holo Hookup Box to date! I am always so amazed at the polishes created each month. Formulas are absolutely fantastic (no surprise here!) 🙂
