Merry Christmas Everyone! Tonight I’ve got a short but sweet post for you all! Octopus Party Nail Lacquer has teamed up with some super cool indies to bring us four duos to ring in the new year – and I had the privilege of swatching one of the duos which features Fair Maiden Polish 😀

All swatches were taken indoors under a combination of Cree daylight and LED bulbs using a Samsung NX300 camera.

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer – “Angel Dust”

In this duo, OPNL brings us Angel Dust – a bright white crelly with gold and pink flakies and added gold holo glitter. Shown here is three thin coats plus top coat. For a white crelly, application is surprisingly easy! For best results, I recommend thin consistent coats with minimal brush strokes. Also, you’ll want to make sure that each coat is dry before you apply your next coat to ensure even leveling. The added elements are striking yet subtle at the same time making this polish quite delicate – as I would expect angel dust to be!

Although subtle, the added elements are gorgeous!

Fair Maiden Polish – “Brown Sugar”

The second part of this duo is Fair Maiden Polish’s Brown Sugar – a gorgeous warm medium brown linear holographic with added copper flakes and gold shimmer. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. Formula is fantastic! Great consistency, application, and control – I didn’t do any clean up on this swatch! I’m reeeaaallllyyyy loving this polish! The brown shade is divine, the gold shimmer and copper flakes are to die for, and there’s tons of holo! ❤

I am obsessing over this polish!

Overall Thoughts

I’m loving this duo! Not only is each polish great on its own, they are great together! Angel Dust and Brown Sugar compliment each other so well which means so many possibilities for nail art! 😀 This limited edition duo is one that you don’t want to miss out on because once it’s gone… it’s not coming back.
