It’s time to check out the next The Holo Hookup box! This indie collaboration includes Cupcake Polish, Different Dimension, and Glisten & Glow as constant contributors with a new guest maker and theme each month. The theme for August 2016 is ‘A Day in the Garden’ and features guest maker Nvr Enuff Polish! Take a look at their garden inspiration pics below!

Now that we’ve seen the stunning inspo pics, let’s take a look at their creations!

All swatches were taken indoors under a combination of Cree daylight and LED bulbs using a Samsung NX300 camera.

Cupcake Polish – “Blue Orchid”

Blue Orchid is a cyan blue linear holo with strong blue and pink shimmers. Shown here is two coats plus top coat.

Different Dimension – “Montego Red”

Montego Red is a darkened scarlet red linear holo with added shimmers and purple microglitters. Shown here is two coats plus top coat.

Glisten & Glow – “Fern Gully”

Fern Gully is a forest green linear holo with blue and gold shimmers. Shown here is two coats plus top coat.

Nvr Enuff Polish – “Odessa Black”

Last up is Odessa Black – blackened reddish purple linear holo with red shimmer and midnight flakies. Shown here is three coats plus top coat. It was opaque in two coats but I added a third to deepen the color.

Overall Thoughts

Another fantastic Holo Hookup box! The assortment of colors fits perfectly with this month’s theme – beautiful, vibrant, and fun! Formulas, like always, are perfect. 🙂 I’d have to say that this month’s box is definitely one of my favorites to date! ❤
